AES+F
The figures are photographs taken in a studio and the backgrounds are made digitally. There is something really disturbing about them. But most importantly they are based on very interesting concepts so don't hesitate to have a look at AES+F's website.

What's disturbing?
They are incredibly fake and perfect.
I'm pretty sure I saw these at a gallery in Helsinki about 4/5 years ago. I hated them at the time for their fashion shoot-type perfection, but now looking at their concept schpiel, they're actually dealing with some pretty heavy stuff.
Once you read about their projects you realise that the aesthetics complement the concepts.
Fake and Perfect photo shoots are cool.
