I found these in a book at the library. The first one is just beautiful but unfortunately I cannot find it online.

Clément

I am writing my dissertation on Outsider art and Avant-garde art and I came across this astonishing picture. It is the wall of a cell in an asylum where Clément spent 2 years in solitude after trying to burn down his family home. He carved this intrigate pattern using his spoon and the broken handle of his pot. I thought stories like this one only happen in movies.

Saturn

I found this very intriguing image in a book on alchemical engravings. The story behind it is that Saturn ate all of his children because he was afraid they would become stronger than him. When his wife was about to give birth to Jupiter she tricked him by giving him a rock to eat instead. Saturn then vomited the rock which became a mountain.

The land between solar systems

This is the 7" record cover for the single release of the song The land between solar systems. Rather than using type on the images we decided to create a casing with a cutout logo and screenprinted track listing at the back. Pictures of the final result coming soon!

MúM record packaging

I am currently working on a University project with a graphic designer. We are making the artwork and packaging for a 12" and 9" record cover for the band Mum. This is a small sample from the front image of the 12" record which is called Finally we are no one.

Bag

Seems like people like the tote bag I made in the summer! Click here and scroll down. Thanks to Kyriaki Costa for selling them at her shop in Nicosia. I've been too busy to post any new work but I will once I get things finished.

Random drawings

This has nothing to do with the drawings but my Bonsai tree is not happy at all. It keeps loosing its leaves...I've even played classical music to it and it still looks very dissatisfied. What else does it want from me?

Mini tree

I was always a bit skeptical about owning Bonsai trees. It sounds quite vain to put so much care and attention in something that it is not even supposed to be this way but ever since my brother gave this to me, I realized how beautiful these mini trees actually are. It reminds me of the tree in 'The Fountain'.

Bye bye

A cake I made a few days ago, a very naughty dog I was taking care of for a friend and a picture from a day trip. Last happy memories from home.

It's nice to see my work framed, even in these cheap, painted Ikea frames.

The Persona

The Persona is the mask everyone wears in order to be a part of society. It hides our true nature and shadow in order for us to reach our ego ideal. A lot of situations require specific behaviors so in order to adapt we often have a lot of personas to suit each situation. The bird symbolizes the soul watching the person changing personalities from above. Not only the way we dress but also our body is often a means to project our personality.

The Wounded Healer

I am working on a black and white zine on Jung's archetypes (again). The Wounded Healer is one of my favorites. He is unaware of his own wounds due to his dedication in helping others in agony.

Anima

This illustration is going to be about the unconscious feminine personality in every man.

The Shadow

This is going to be an 'interactive' illustration about The Shadow. According to Jung, The Shadow is everything in us that is unconscious, repressed, undeveloped and denied. It is the link to our primordial instincts. The image is going to appear static but will move as soon as the mouse cursor rolls over it.

Ancient Greek Philosophers Zine

I am quite pleased with the overall appearance of this even though I haven't mastered the screenprinting techniques yet.
