Higg's Theory

I made this drawing for a proposal I'm working on for an exciting artist's residency at CERN labs in Switzerland. It is based on the theory of Peter Higg's which is still not proven and for this reason is called 'the missing Higg's particle.
According to Higg's just after the Big Bang particles had no mass at all until they cooled down and came in contact with the Higg's Field which made them heavier and gave them mass.

Soyoung Hyun

I saw one of her animations at the RCA show last June and was captivated by it. Usually there is so much to see there and I tend to ignore a lot of work because it's a bit overwhelming to take in so many things in a day. There is something really nice about her work though!

Guangdong acrobatic troupe of China

When I first saw this photo in a guide I thought it was definitely photoshopped. Turns out the dancers/acrobats of the Guangdong company can actually perform these crazy poses. Learn more about their future performances here.

Raissa's Svoura!

Check out this spectacular sculpture by my friend Raissa. It is a huge spinning top trapped in a box unable to move. If you see into the hole in the box you can see the inside of the spinning top which, because of the way it is painted gives the impression that it is actually moving. Beautiful beautiful!!!
As a child Raissa wanted to grow up and become a builder. Even though she didn't quite manage to fulfil her wish, at least she can still move around huge pieces of material by building big big sculptures.
