Pick Me Up

Yesterday I went up to London to see the graphic art fair Pick Me Up at Somerset house. There were quite a few things that I liked but I think this print by Paul Blow was my favorite thing in the fair! Sorry about the blurry pictures...no flash was allowed!

Mandalas

When I don't know what else to draw I just look at some mandalas. Mandalas are used in Buddhism and Hinduism and usually describe the structure of the cosmos. What fascinates me about them is that they encompass so much information.

Pretty images

I have been trying to get some inspiration to illustrate a book cover for a competition. Initially I wanted to make something really busy but it just didn't look right so I had to start again twice...I think now after simplifying my idea I am on the right path. Maybe when I have more time for a piece I will create something as intricate as these pretty images.

Novum glitter

I am always attracted to shiny things so as soon as I saw the current Novum issue at the library I got super excited! It definitely stands out from the rest of the magazines.

Been working on self-promotion stuff...really satisfying to finally send things out! I forgot to take a picture of what's inside before sealing all the envelopes but promise I will when I finish the next batch. If all goes to plan I will start a new piece today yay!
